Sources
We cite primary UK government sources first: gov.uk, legislation.gov.uk, HMRC manuals and guidance. Where helpful we also link to the FCA register and Bank of England — always as references, never reproduced verbatim. We do not treat commercial blogs or overseas law as authoritative for UK readers.
Review cycle
Guides display a last-reviewed date and are checked when HMRC, the FCA or Parliament change relevant rules. Tax thresholds and rates are verified against current gov.uk publications.
Every volatile value on this site — tax-year allowances, CGT rates, filing deadlines, FCA milestone dates — renders from a single reviewed data module rather than being typed into individual pages. That module is reviewed every April at the tax-year rollover and the same day any rule changes; its current review date is 17 July 2026. When a value changes, one update corrects every page that shows it.
